At the weekend 2 weeks of exciting Wimbledon action came to an end in a frantic, nail-biting final match full of excitement between two incredibly entertaining players. New Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz ultimately won out over the typically imperious Djokovic, but here at Hog Roast Chichester we reckon the real big winners were those that enjoyed our very own grand slam of a roast buffet at their watch parties!
During many sporting events as a caterer we quite often get calls from customers looking for some leisurely dining for their events where guests will be in attendance to watch the big games. Such events tend to call for a more informal type of dinner, such as a buffet or a quick roll and filling service, rather than a more formal set menu sit down dinner. The guests want to see every second of the action, and we as the caterer don’t want to be the ones to break up the viewing with repeated intrusions. So, for such events as the ones our Hog Roast Chichester teams attended on Wimbledon Sunday we tend to set up a large buffet of our favourite foods off to the side and let guests come and peruse at their own choosing throughout the day’s action. It is the perfect way to enjoy every serve, every rally, every ace and set point!
The Hog Roast Chichester grand slam buffet consisted of our namesake hog roast of course, shredded into a pulled pork for use in rolls and wraps (because you really can’t serve a better ace than the best of all of roast dining), plenty of gourmet prepared burgers and sausages available from our barbecue menu, chicken skewers, veg kebabs, BBQ pulled jackfruit alternatives to our hog roast, portions of roast potatoes or a chip medley of both sweet and regular potato fries, fresh salads and our vibrant homemade coleslaw, and many little lighter bites to be served around the room beforehand such as our mini quiches, mini pizzas, Indian snack selection, and our mini fish and chip plates. Of course seeing as it was Wimbledon too, you know we had our strawberries and cream out, as well homemade cheesecake with fresh cream.
Talk about a perfect serve!
